Terms of Service

By using mychessplan.com or the MyChessPlan analysis tool (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

MyChessPlan is a chess improvement diagnostic. You provide a chess.com username; we use the public chess.com API to retrieve your last 100 rated games; we compute statistics and return an analysis report. The Service is provided “as is” and is for educational and entertainment purposes.

2. Acceptable use

  • You may submit chess.com usernames that you own or have permission to analyze.
  • You may not abuse the Service with automated scripts, scraping, or rate-limit-evading patterns.
  • You may not use the Service to harass, defame, or invade the privacy of any third party.
  • You may not republish or commercially redistribute analysis reports without written permission.

3. Accuracy and disclaimers

The analysis is statistical and probabilistic. Archetype classifications are estimates based on your last 100 games, not infallible truths. Improvement plans are suggestions; you remain responsible for your own training. We make no guarantees about rating gains, tournament results, or any specific improvement outcome.

4. Independence

MyChessPlan is independent and not affiliated with chess.com, Lichess, FIDE, Chessable, or any chess training platform. Trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

5. Intellectual property

The Site, the Service, the archetype framework, and our reports are owned by MyChessPlan and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a non-exclusive personal-use license to view and use your reports. You retain ownership of your chess game data.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyChessPlan and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your data via [email protected].

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
